PROJECTS
1. A System in Parts — A Modular Alphabet [4 wks]
Create an alphabet (letters A–Z, numerals 0–9, basic punctuation) based on component pieces (a stencil, a grid, a collection of objects, etc), and then use this alphabet to create a typographic composition.
2. Branding a Cultural Mo(ve)ment [5 wks]
Design a typographic identity for a cultural moment in recent history. Develop the identity into a full graphic system and apply to multiple forms.
3. Book and Voice [7 wks]
Design a book combining two texts — the first from a short list provided by me, the second of your choosing to support/subvert/collude.
